Discretion
How your information is kept.
I collect as little as possible — only enough to reply to you, to send what you asked for, or to keep the house running. There is no profiling here, and nothing is ever sold or shared for advertising.
Who keeps it. Isabelle Clairmont — the trade name of Isabelle Cranen — is responsible for the information described here (Leiden, the Netherlands; KvK 99797097). You can reach me at hello@isabelleclairmont.com about anything below.
If you write or inquire. Your name, your email, and whatever you choose to tell me — used only to answer you and to arrange your colour analysis. The basis is your own request, and the consent you give when you send the form. I keep this correspondence for up to two years. If we begin working together, I keep what that work needs — and the administrative records Dutch tax law requires me to retain for seven years.
If you join the letters. Your email, confirmed by double opt-in, used to send the occasional letter and the guide you asked for. The basis is your consent; you may leave from the foot of any letter, and I remove you when you do.
What the site does on its own. It remembers small preferences on your device — the light, the sound, the season, whether you have been welcomed — and nothing more. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies and does not profile you. To understand visits I use Plausible, privacy-first analytics that uses no cookies and collects no personal data. Local weather is drawn from a public service (Open-Meteo) for Leiden only — never from your location.
Who helps hold it. A few trusted services process this on my behalf: MailerLite (the letters), Resend (replies), Plausible (analytics), and Netlify (the house itself, including the technical logs every website keeps to serve and secure its pages). Each works under its own terms and a data-processing agreement; where information is handled outside the EU, it is under the appropriate safeguards. The signup form, when you use it, may set its own cookies under MailerLite's terms.
Your rights. You may see, correct, or delete what I hold; restrict or object to its use; ask for a copy to take elsewhere; and withdraw consent at any time. If something is wrong, you may also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
